About this ride

The ride launches from a standing start with a burst of acceleration that physically pins you back in your seat. The story follows Jack-Jack who has gone missing during a family outing at the pier. The coaster includes a loop, a corkscrew, a zero-g roll, and multiple banked high-speed turns across its track, which runs around the perimeter of Pixar Pier with ocean views visible from the elevated sections. A second launch through a tunnel midway through the ride refreshes the speed before the final finale.

Best time to ride

Rope drop or Multi Pass. The wait climbs fast in the morning and stays high all day on busy days.

Insider tips

  • The front row provides the best open-air experience with unobstructed views of the launch acceleration.
  • The back row gives more airtime on the hills and curves.
  • At night, the ride's lighting effects are more visible and the Pixar Pier views are beautiful.
  • The 48-inch height requirement is higher than most Disneyland Resort coasters — plan accordingly.
  • The second launch in the tunnel is often the surprise highlight for first-timers.

What to know before you ride

  • Extremely fast launch (0–55 mph in under 5 seconds).
  • Multiple inversions including a loop, corkscrew, and zero-g roll.
  • Sustained high speed throughout.
  • Not suitable for guests with heart conditions, back or neck problems, or motion sensitivity.
  • This is a full-intensity roller coaster.

Mateo's Take

The best coaster at the Disneyland Resort. That first launch will put a stupid grin on your face every single time. If you meet the height requirement and like coasters at all, this is a must-do.
