These are the best counter-service options in the park. All are available via mobile order through the Disneyland app — use it to skip the cashier line entirely

#1 — Ronto Roasters

Location: Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

Price Range: $ (Under $15)

My Rating: 9/10

Best For: All ages, best quick-service breakfast and lunch in the park

WHAT TO ORDER:

  • Ronto Wrap — roasted pork and grilled sausage, cabbage slaw, cucumber, tomato, and a peppercorn sauce in a warm flatbread. The single best quick-service item for breakfast in the entire park. Bengal Barbecue focuses on skewers but Ronto Roasters is one of the most frequent stops for regulars.

  • New 2026 additions include Surabat Valley Greens with Roasted Tip-Yip and Felucian Kefta Garden Spread.

  • Tatooine Sunset — non-alcoholic passion fruit lemonade. Stunning presentation and genuinely delicious.

INSIDER TIPS: Order the morning Ronto Wrap with egg and pork sausage — it is the best quick breakfast available at rope drop. The "roasting spit" above the counter is actually a repurposed pod racing engine from the Star Wars archives — a functioning piece of prop art. Ask for extra Ronto sauce at the counter, it is free and makes the wrap dramatically better.

MY THOUGHTS: If I could only eat one quick-service item at Disneyland for the rest of my life it would be the Ronto Wrap. The warm flatbread, the perfectly seasoned pork, the crunch of the slaw — in the middle of Galaxy's Edge while a full-size pod racing engine roasts above you. This is Disneyland food at its most inspired.

#2 — Tiana's Palace

Location: New Orleans Square

Price Range: $ (Under $14.99 per adult)

My Rating: 8.5/10

Best For: All ages, budget-conscious diners, families who want themed quick service

THE EXPERIENCE: Tiana's Palace opened September 7, 2023, and foodie fans have been gathering there like fireflies at twilight ever since. Imagineers visited old restaurants in New Orleans to get design inspiration — from the black-and-white checkered floors to the light fixtures that match the ones in the movie.

WHAT TO ORDER:

  • James' Gumbo — Tiana's father's gumbo recipe is on the menu and it is one of the best new foods at Disneyland Park. Rich, deeply flavored, and authentic. Order this.

  • Sweet Heat Beignet Chicken Sandwich — fried chicken tossed in Buffalo sauce served with collard greens and house-made pickles on fresh beignets. A 2026 addition that is already drawing significant attention.

  • Beignets — light, airy, powdered sugar. Among the best in New Orleans Square.

  • Tiana Punch — Hi-C Fruit Punch, Sprite, Raspberry Syrup, and Macerated Berries served over ice ($7.29). One of the most popular non-alcoholic specialty drinks in the park.

  • Nitro Cold Brew — Nitro-injected Beignet-flavored Cold Brew ($7.29). An extraordinary and unique coffee offering.

DIETARY: Several lighter options available. Check the app for current plant-based offerings.

MY THOUGHTS: Tiana's Palace brought something Disneyland genuinely needed — a quick-service option in New Orleans Square that takes the food seriously. The gumbo is the real deal. The beignet chicken sandwich is one of the most creative quick-service items in recent Disneyland history. At under $15 per adult for most items, it is also one of the best value meals in the park.

#3 — Plaza Inn

Location: Main Street U.S.A.

Price Range: $ (Under $20)

My Rating: 8/10

Best For: All ages, breakfast with characters, families who want comfort food

THE EXPERIENCE: Plaza Inn switches from character breakfast to cafeteria-style quick service at 12:00pm. A line usually forms before noon and can get long right at the transition.

WHAT TO ORDER:

  • Character Breakfast (morning) — Mickey, Minnie, and friends rotate through. Book 60 days out for the character dining experience. Best value character meal in Disneyland Park.

  • Paint the Night Dining Package — enjoy a special lunch at Plaza Inn then return to Main Street for reserved parade viewing. Adult package: Herb-roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and buttered haricot verts, Hawaiian roll, and raspberry chocolate tart.

  • Fried Chicken (lunch/dinner) — the most popular item after the character breakfast transition. Classic comfort fried chicken consistently well-executed.

  • Mashed Potatoes — buttery, smooth, and generous. The best side dish at any quick-service location in the park.

  • Cookies and Cream Chocolate Cake — a new 2026 addition that has become one of the most popular desserts on Main Street.

INSIDER TIPS: For the best quick-service experience, skip the noon rush and visit mid-afternoon or early evening. The outdoor patio seating faces the castle — request it specifically when it is available.

MICKEY SAYS: Plaza Inn breakfast with characters is the best value character dining experience in Disneyland Park — significantly more affordable than Storytellers Cafe at the Grand Californian while delivering a genuinely magical morning. The fried chicken at lunch is legitimately excellent comfort food. The Paint the Night Dining Package makes this one of the smartest value reservations in the park for families who want reserved parade viewing.

#4 — Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante

Location: Frontierland

Price Range: $ (Under $17)

My Rating: 7.5/10

Best For: Budget families, guests who want genuine Mexican food, large groups who need fast seating

THE EXPERIENCE: Rancho del Zocalo offers quick-service Mexican food in a lovely Spanish-style courtyard. One of the largest seating areas in the park — a significant advantage on crowded days when finding a table is genuinely difficult.

WHAT TO ORDER:

  • Carne Asada Fries — fries topped with spicy cheese sauce, beans, avocado salsa, carne asada, and chipotle-lime crema ($13.99). The best value item on the menu.

  • Trio of Street Tacos — beef, chicken, and pork served in corn tortillas with tomatillo sauce, garnished with onions and cilantro ($13.99).

  • Pollo Asado — grilled achiote-marinated half chicken with rice, beans, curtido slaw, and flour tortillas ($16.99). The most substantial and impressive entrée on the menu.

  • Rancho del Zocalo Chicken Caesar Salad — diced achiote-marinated chicken breast, romaine, crunchy corn kernels, pepitas, and cotija cheese ($12.49). Surprisingly excellent.

  • New 2026 items include the Zocalo Fries — seasoned fries topped with beans, queso sauce, carne asada, chipotle crema, and pickled onion habanero.

DIETARY: New 2026 plant-based additions include the Hacienda Salad — kale-romaine mix, cilantro avocado ranch, grilled achiote-marinated mushrooms, grilled nopal salsa, and grilled chile-lime corn riblets. Also the Caesar Salad Garden Wrap — romaine and kale with sundried tomato bean spread and creamy Caesar dressing (plant-based).

MY THOUGHTS: Rancho del Zocalo is the most underrated quick-service restaurant in Disneyland. The Carne Asada Fries are one of the best value items in the park, the Pollo Asado is genuinely impressive for a counter-service meal, and the massive courtyard seating means you can almost always find a table even during peak lunch hours. Budget travelers and large groups should know this place well.

#5 — Bengal Barbecue

Location: Adventureland

Price Range: $ (Under $12)

My Rating: 7.5/10

Best For: All ages, snack-style eating, guests who want something lighter than a full meal

WHAT TO ORDER:

  • Outback Beef Skewer — seasoned beef with teriyaki glaze. The most popular skewer and the best one.

  • Kipling's Tiger Tail — bread stick with parmesan and herb butter. Deceptively good and an excellent snack between rides.

  • Jungle Julep — non-alcoholic passion fruit and pineapple blend. Perfect for a hot Adventureland afternoon.

  • Seasonal tropical-style beverages with fruit slushies and chile-lime seasoning — especially good on hot days.

  • Vegetable Skewer — for plant-based guests, surprisingly well-seasoned.

MY THOUGHTS: Bengal Barbecue is the perfect grab-and-go spot in Adventureland between Indiana Jones and Jungle Cruise. The skewers are fast, flavorful, and eat well while walking. The Tiger Tail breadstick is an underrated snack that sells out earlier in the day than most guests expect. Never a long line, always reliably good.

#6 — Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe

Location: Main Street U.S.A.

Price Range: $ (Under $15)

My Rating: 7.5/10

Best For: All ages, breakfast pastries, lighter meals, best dessert selection on Main Street

THE EXPERIENCE: Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe is a Mary Poppins-themed cafe-style restaurant offering fresh pastries, sandwiches, breakfast items, and sweets. Located on the corner of Main Street facing the Hub with large outdoor patio seating.

WHAT TO ORDER:

  • Rose Gold Mickey Macaron — the most photographed food item on Main Street. Light rose cream, beautiful presentation, genuinely delicious.

  • Matterhorn Macaroon — coconut macaroon dipped in chocolate. A Disneyland icon.

  • Rotating seasonal cheesecakes — among the strongest dessert options in the park. The Christmas gingerbread cookies sell out quickly during holiday season.

  • Strawberry Shortcake Macaron layered with fresh strawberries topped with a birthday candle — a new 2026 addition.

  • Lemon Chiffon Tea topped with lemon chiffon foam — a refreshing new 2026 beverage addition.

  • Tomato Basil Soup with Bread — one of the most warming and satisfying lighter meals available in the park.

  • Mickey Hat Cookie — a beloved new 2026 addition that has quickly become one of the most popular items on the menu.

DIETARY: Multiple vegetarian options. Lighter sandwich and salad options available for health-conscious guests.

MY THOUGHTS: Jolly Holiday is where Main Street food gets genuinely good. The pastry case is outstanding and the rotating seasonal items reward repeat visits throughout the year. The outdoor patio facing the Hub and the castle is one of the best spots in the park to rest mid-morning with a coffee and something from the pastry case. Do not walk past this place on your way to Fantasyland — stop and look at what is in the case.
